We have put together the absolute highlights of northern Thailand for you from this tour. Fantastic roads through a fantastic landscape. Wherever possible, overnight stays in wonderful bungalow complexes and hotels. We visit waterfalls, hot springs, elephant camps, orchid farms and craft workshops. Our route also includes villages of ethnic minorities who have settled in the mountainous regions of northern Thailand over the past few centuries, mostly coming from China. We drive along small back roads, with several passes and endless curves, towards the legendary “Golden Triangle”. This is where Thailand, Burma and Laos meet. We reach Burma on foot over a bridge. To get to Laos, we have to cross the mighty Mekong River in a speedboat. Every day, we enjoy the fantastic cuisine of Thailand, which is among the best and most varied in Southeast Asia.
